Collision Avoidance Systems |
LaserGuardTM 2 |
Magnetek's new LaserGuard2 enhances the performance of overhead material handling systems by preventing crane-to-crane or crane-to-end-stop collisions. Avoiding collisions results in reduced maintenance costs and increased operator safety. This system is ideal for use with all types of cranes with adjustable frequency drives, soft starters, or contactor controls.
The next generation LaserGuard2 is the most technologically advanced system available, using self-monitoring optical lasers to check your cranes position. Its multi-distance detection feature is flexible enough to manage crane-to-crane and wall-to-crane operation.
Features:
Eight inch to 150 foot detection range*
IP65 rating for indoor and outdoor** applications
85-264 VAC and 120-370 VDC, or 9-36 VDC (optional)
Pushbutton programming that makes the system easy to use
Can be adjusted for three individual contact closures within the detection range
Visible light that provides easier alignment and quick set-up
System Includes:
10 meter sensor cable standard (additional lengths available upon request)
Laser support unit
2 x 2 ft. reflector
Laser
Mounting bracket
*Runway length may be greater than detection range
**System may not operate properly in direct sunlight or inclement weather conditions

ReFlx® 120 |
Magnetek's ReFlx 120 and 120 "Plus" Systems keep your overhead material handling system up and running safely by providing the
ideal solution for collision avoidance.
The ReFlx 120 System features a two-channel infrared sensor, which can be adjusted to give separate outputs for each channel at distances from
20 to 120 feet. The most commonly wired configuration is the use of one channel to provide the primary stop command to the motion control, while
the second channel is used as a redundant stop command.
The system includes:
Two-Channel Sensor
Controller
Diamond Reflective Target (2 feet x 2 feet)
REFLX System Operation:
The ReFlx sensors consist of a transmitter and receiver(s). The infrared signal is transmitted at the target or object. The reflected signal
from the target or object is sensed by the receiver. The information is processed and the relay opens, providing a slow down or stop of the
bridge control.

ReFlx® 120 "Plus" |
Magnetek's ReFlx 120 and 120 "Plus" Systems keep your overhead material handling system up and running safely by providing the
ideal solution for collision avoidance.
To provide an extra measure of safety to your collision avoidance system, the ReFlx 120 "Plus" includes all the components of the
ReFlx 120 system, plus the addition of a second, shorter range, sensor. The first sensor, which has two channels, is most commonly wired to
use the first channel as a "slow down" command or warning signal, and the second channel as a primary stop command. The second sensor
has a single channel, with a range of 1.5 to 20 feet, and is most commonly used as a redundant stop command. The second sensor does not require
a reflective target to be utilized.
The system includes:
Two-Channel Sensor
Single-Channel Sensor
Controller
Diamond Reflective Target (2 feet x 2 feet)
REFLX System Operation

from the target or object is sensed by the receiver. The information is processed and the relay opens, providing a slow down or stop of the
